The Summer I Turned Pretty stakes are higher than ever as the season three finale looms closer.
This season picked up four years on from where we last saw Cousins Beach crew, and yet the love triangle between Belly and the Fisher brothers still rages on.
There’s been underwhelming proposals, shocking Spring Break betrayals, rekindling of old flames, wedding planning dramas and sweeping declarations of love. Through it all the question (and ensuing debate) of who Belly will choose has kept fans on the edge of their sofa seats.
Surely we could just read the books to find the answers we so desperately seek, we hear you say. Well, no. And, that’s because author Jenny Han revealed ahead of this season that she has made some changes.
“There will be things that take you by surprise, hopefully in a good way. It’s been 16 years since the book came out and I’ve had a lot of time to think ‘what ways could this be better?’,” Han told the Associated Press.
As of episode eight, things aren’t looking good for team Jeremiah with their wedding officially called off. Team Conrad on the other hand is a different story, with Belly spotting her former flame at the airport as she goes to board a plane to Paris.
So, when will we finally get the answers we seek?

In Australia, the finale will fall on Wednesday 17th September, dropping on Prime Video at 5pm.

Season three of TSITP will have a total of 11 episodes meaning there’s just three more weeks before the show’s end.
Who Will Belly Pick?
Right now, with episode eight out in the world, the tides appear to finally be turning in Conrad’s favour. Belly and Jere are broken up, and everyone’s true feelings are finally out in the open.
If the books are anything to go by (spoiler warning) Belly will end up with Conrad, but as Jenny Han has already warned, the show may not follow suit.
