The Dance Moms star has split from Australian partner, Kath Ebbs, in what’s become a very public breakup following a connection she established with another man, Chris Hughes, while appearing on Celebrity Big Brother UK.

Did JoJo Siwa Cheat On Kath Ebbs With Chris Hughes?
While appearing on Celebrity Big Brother UK, Siwa grew increasingly close to fellow contestant and TV star, Chris Hughes. The pair shared many touching moments including Siwa opening up about her gender and identity, but also exchanged secret messages and were often seen cuddling.
The relationship Hughes and Siwa formed may not have crossed a physical line but many fans and Siwa’s partner, Ebbs, dubbed it “emotional cheating”.

After watching everything play out on screen, Ebbs revealed they flew to the UK to reunite with Siwa at a post-finale after party. In a series of TikTok videos, Ebbs shared that it was there that Siwa ended things.
“After two weeks of sitting back watching certain things unfold and not being able to get any clarity from the person that it involves… I was dumped at the after-party,” they say in the clip.
Ebbs went on to add that Siwa admitted to having “confused feelings” and “that they realized in the house that I wasn’t the person they wanted to spend the foreseeable [future with].”
JoJo Siwa & Chris Hughes Break Silence On Their Relationship
Following their stint on the show and Ebbs TikTok videos, both Siwa and Hughes made an appearance on ITV’s This Morning to address the rumours of a romance.
On deciding to breakup with Ebbs at the afterparty, Siwa said: “I’ll be honest, that was not a plan. That was not an intention, that was not supposed to happen like that.”
“Initially, I was told that the wrap party was something they didn’t want to attend and then about an hour into the wrap party they decided they wanted to. And so I was genuinely just going to have a conversation before and then it just led to another.”
The performer also added that the time spent in the isolation of the Big Brother house led to many realisations about herself and her relationship with Ebbs.
“I knew as soon as I got out I wanted to fix things in my life and make the changes that I needed to make,” Siwa said. “You have this experience that’s so exhilarated. It’s 20 days but it feels like it’s four and a half years. And the first thing you want to do when you get out is just exactly what you need to do in your life to make it as good as you can.”
As for Siwa’s relationship with Hughes, the pair clarified while they formed a deep bond calling one another “soul mates”, it’s purely “platonic”.
“It’s hard to explain,” Hughes hsaid. “It’s just a really strong bond between two people, which is just a strong friendship. And I think you can have like a soulmate friendship. Having someone in there to go through an experience like that and have someone there every day when you’re emotional when you’re down when you’re happy — that was beautiful.”
