Just when we thought our unexpected couple bingo card couldn’t possibly get any fuller for 2025, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have gifted us with a late addition dinner date to unpack.
The popstar and former prime minister of Canada were spotted enjoying a meal together in Montreal during a night off from the Woman’s World singer’s global Lifetimes tour.
In footage obtained by TMZ, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are seen sitting across from each other in a romantic restaurant called Le Violon. The conversation was clearly flowing as Perry and Trudeau worked their way through the chic restaurant’s food and cocktail selection, including the lobster.

Per TMZ, the head chef reportedly came out to speak with the celebrity guests during the meal, before the pair headed into the kitchen to thank the team personally.
A rep for the restaurant told People that the Perry and Trudeau “seemed to have had a fantastic evening,” adding, “they were super kind and friendly to the staff, and it was an absolute pleasure to have them at the restaurant.”
While the evening was still young, the potential-couple made their way to Taverne Atlantic for a nightcap, which sounds like the marker of a successful date if we ever saw one.
The after-dinner drinks were a fitting end to the pair’s low-key rendezvous which began with a daytime stroll through Montreal’s Mount Royal Park – Perry’s teacup poodle, Nugget, also in attendance.
Are Justin Trudeau And Katy Perry Dating?

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom announced their separation in early July after months of headlines claiming the couple were on the rocks. Representatives for the ex-couple revealed the news via a short statement expressing their ongoing focus on four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
Also navigating the single co-parenting life is the former prime minister, whose own split from his wife of 18-years, Sophie, was announced in August 2023. ““As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other and for everything we have built and will continue to build,” Trudeau wrote at the time.
While reps for both parties remain tight-lipped about their burgeoning relationship, the two are clearly aligned in their priorities, interests and lifestage, which are all good places to start in any potential partnership. Good for them!
