Once again, Taylor Swift has managed to send the internet into meltdown with the announcement of her new album, The Life Of A Showgirl, with a little help from the New Heights podcast.
Something has been simmering in the Swiftie-verse for some time, but on August 12th (Australian time) the announcement of Taylor Swift’s upcoming guest slot on beau Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast and a mysterious website countdown all but confirmed the impending announcement.
Mere hours after the countdown appeared, it was official: Swift’s 12th studio album is on its way.
The announcement also appeared in a joint Instagram post with Kelce’s New Heights, a clip teasing the announcement in the podcast’s next episode. So, can fans expect more news when the episode drops?

The New Heights podcast episode with Taylor Swift drops on August 13th at 7 p.m. ET which is August 14th at 9 a.m. AEST in Australia.
Taylor Swift’s New Heights Podcast Episode
Yes, it’s now been confirmed that the mystery guest star on the Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, will be none other than Taylor Swift.
Swifties first became convinced Taylor may be making a guest appearance on New Heights this week when the show shared a not-so-subtle teaser on Instagram.
The choice of image all but gave it away; the post showed the Kelce brothers in their usual podcast setting with what looks like a Eras Tour jumper being sported by Jason, in the centre was a black silhouette of their guest star (identifiable as Taylor) and to top it off, the background was a glittering ORANGE.
Some 12 hours later, the theories were confirmed, as a clip featuring Taylor in the upcoming episode dropped.
“Taylor’s about to do a f*cking podcast!” the caption reads.
Will There Be More Revealed During The Podcast Episode?
Many fans originally speculated that Taylor’s album reveal would come during the New Heights episode. However, the news dropped earlier than expected, albeit still in collaboration with Kelce’s side-project. So, is there more news the singer is saving for the actual episode?
For that, we’ll just have to wait and see. All eyes will now be on the upcoming episode, leading many to hope there will be extra Easter eggs to unravel once the episode is live.
